On the 6th of November 2017, DCU Business School was officially presented with the Small Business Charter Award at the International Convention Centre, Birmingham.
The Small Business Charter recognises world-class business schools that play an effective role in supporting SMEs, student entrepreneurship and economic development. DCU Business School was awarded Small Business Charter status by the Chartered Association of Business Schools in June of this year.
The award is in recognition of the effective role DCU plays in supporting the development of small and medium sized businesses in Ireland and in promoting entrepreneurship among its students and within the Irish entrepreneurship eco-system. DCU is the only university in Ireland to receive this prestigious accreditation.
The Small Business Charter award was presented to Dr Teresa Hogan, Senior Lecturer in Entrepreneurship at DCU Business School by Professor Nigel Lockett, Member of the Board of the Small Business Charter and Associate Dean for Engagement and Professor of Entrepreneurship at Lancaster University Management School.
