On 15th and 16th May, Dr Lisa van der Werff hosted the annual meeting of the invitation only Personnel and Human Resources Research Group in DCU Business School. The event was supported by the DCU Leadership and Talent Institute and organised in conjunction with Brian Hoffman (Associate Editor at Journal of Management).
The conference included an impressive array of academic talent from the field of organisational psychology and behavior including Gilad Chen (Editor of Journal of Applied Psychology), Tayla Bauer (SIOP President; Associate Editor at Journal of Applied Psychology), Russell Johnson (Associate Editor at Academy of Management Review), Mo Wang (Editor of Work, Aging and Retirement; Associate Editor at Journal of Applied Psychology), Eden King (Associate Editor at Journal of Management and Journal of Business and Psychology), Mike Burke (past Editor of Personnel Psychology) and Steve Kozlowski (past Editor of Journal of Applied Psychology).
DCU Business School was delighted to host this conference which provided faculty with a fantastic opportunity to engage with such a high calibre of academics from a number of US universities. The conference is designed to allow leading academics to discuss their current projects and prepare research for publication in top-tier journals.
Business School faculty were well represented at the event and both Dr Claire Gubbins and Dr Lisa van der Werff presented research for feedback and discussion with the group. High energy interaction, collegiality and constructive feedback and discussion amongst the group ensured ideas were tested and presenters left with plenty of food for though in progressing their research towards publication.
