Are you an ambitious female executive looking to advance your leadership and management career? DCU is providing a €10,000 fee scholarship to the 30% Club to be used for postgraduate study in DCU Business School.

The 30% Club is a global movement of international Chairs and CEOs who are committed to better gender balance at all levels of their organisations through voluntary actions. The movement aims to reach a 30% female gender balance on Irish boards and executive management level by 2020.

Recent research has shown that women occupy a disproportionately low number of managerial roles across organisation types, sectors and size. While at the most junior level of management the gender mix is quite balanced, women’s representation falls significantly at each subsequent stage of the management hierarchy. This study was conducted on behalf of the 30% Club by DCU Business School, Dr Melrona Kirrane and Ibec.

DCU is committed to addressing this imbalance by offering one talented female candidate the opportunity to further their career by studying a postgraduate programme of their choice at DCU Business School. DCU Business School also recently emerged as the top business school in Europe for faculty gender balance in the Financial Times ranking.

DCU Business School postgraduate programmes are the perfect choice for executives with senior management ambitions. Whichever programme you choose, we seek to engage participants in high level strategic analysis and assist them in developing the personal attributes critical to leadership success.

Carol Andrews, 30% Club Ireland Country Lead, has welcomed this continuing and generous support from DCU for gender balance in business leadership.

“Executive education can be an effective accelerator in women’s career development and DCU offers a comprehensive range of options to chose from.  We are extremely grateful for this practical support.”
